Windows 7 tersedia mulai tanggal 22 Oktober 2009 dalam 14 bahasa: English, Spanish, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese dan Chinese (Hong Kong).
Dan untuk bahasa lainnya menyusul kemudian pada tanggal 31 Oktober 2009, bahasa tersebut antara lain: Turkish, Czech, Portuguese, Hungarian, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Greek, Ukrainian, Romanian, Arabic, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Estonian, Slovenian, Hebrew, Thai, Croatian, Serbian Latin, dan Latvian.
Selain itu juga Microsoft memberikan diskon pada pengguna setia yang melakukan pemesanan (pre-order). Diskon pre-order tersebut berlaku untuk wilayah US dan Kanada mulai 26 Juni 2009 sampai dengan 11 Juli 2009.
Untuk United Kingdom (Inggris), Perancis dan Jerman mulai tanggal 15 Juli 2009 sampai dengan 14 Agustus 2009.
Untuk wilayah Jepang tanggal 26 Juni 2009 sampai dengan 5 Juli 2009.
