5 May 2009, Windows 7 RC 1 kini tersedia untuk umum untuk di download. Windows 7 RC 1 tersedia dalam 32 bit maupun 64 bit dan tersedia dalam 5 bahasa: English, German, Japanese, Spanish, French. Microsoft memberikan kesempatan hingga 13 bulan untuk mencoba sistem operasi baru ini. Windows 7 RC 1 mempunyai masa expire sampai dengan 1 Juni 2010 dan 3 bulan sebelum masa berlaku tersebut habis, tepatnya mulai 1 Maret 2010 Windows 7 RC1 akan otomatis shutdown setiap dua jam.
Berikut spesifikasi yang diperlukan untuk Windows 7 :
* 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
* 1 GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
* 16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit)
* DirectX 9 graphics processor with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Klo d blang msih bgus vista ada bnerx jga, w7 msih problem dgn driver netwrkx atw wrlsx.
D lihat dari boot pertama cpetan vista, w7 lambat -loading 3dx tpi bla d logonuix cpet dri vista.
Tpi ktax theme dpt d ganti kta ceo microsoft, seandainya ad samplex khan bsa d cba.
