Distro linux ubuntu 9.0.4 versi final akhirnya direlease. Ubuntu 9.0.4 tersedia dalam 3 jenis: Ubuntu Desktop Edition, Ubuntu Netbook Remix (UNR) dan Ubuntu Server Edition. Beberapa peningkatan fitur yang hadir pada ubuntu versi 9.0.4 antara lain:

* GNOME 2.26.1 (KDE 4.2.2 untuk Kubuntu)
* Kernel terbaru , 2.6.28-11.14
* Proses booting yang lebih cepat
* Dukungan sistem file ext4
* Mendukung wacom tablet
* Mendukung netbook
